Intensive course: MICROMOSAIC IN ROME IN 4 DAYS

An intensive journey into the world of micromosaic in 4 days, aimed at those who have an interest and passion for this 18th century art.

An intensive course to learn the art of Roman micromosaic, a technique born in Rome and reached its peak of refinement at the end of the 18th century.

During the course you can choose whether to create a jewel or a small painting, experiencing first-hand all the phases of the creative process.

You will witness the spinning of glassy enamels and you will have the opportunity to experiment directly with the mixing of colors and the processing of molten glass, pulling it to create the thin rods used in the micromosaic. Each rod is made inside the studio according to the ancient “yarn” technique, through the fusion of enamels at temperatures of 800—900°C.

The program integrates historical notes and laboratory practice: from cutting techniques and material preparation to final installation. A complete experience, designed to offer effective and immersive learning.
